Ryuichiro Hirakawa | 平川隆一郎

Licensed Acupuncturist | Deep Tissue Therapist

Trained in Kyoto and Osaka—where acupuncture and shiatsu traditions are deeply rooted and competition is intense—I earned my national acupuncture license certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan.

I completed anatomical training at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, gaining an international perspective, and later studied under Ms. Masako Yoshikawa—one of Japan’s leading acupuncturists and recipient of the highest award at the 1998 World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) Congress in Barcelona.

I also completed a government-accredited professional massage training program in Southeast Asia, which provided a rigorous, medically oriented foundation in therapeutic bodywork as part of my broader international training.

With over 10 years of clinical experience, I have worked in domestic medical institutions, conducted a solo health camp in Nepal, and provided treatments to international visitors in Niseko, Hokkaido.

Currently based in the resort region of Hokkaido, including Niseko and Sapporo, I provide exclusive in-room treatments for international residents and visiting travelers at luxury hotels, private residences, and premium vacation rentals.

Can I book your service at any hotel?

Can I book your service at any hotel in Sapporo?
A: Yes. We offer in-room sessions at most luxury hotels, private residences, and corporate offices in central Sapporo.

For Niseko and Furano, service is available exclusively through our “Exclusive Niseko & Furano Retreat” package.

If you are unsure whether your hotel permits in-room massage, we can assist you.
Who is the therapist? Is it safe?

Your therapist is Ryuichiro Hirakawa, a licensed Japanese acupuncturist with over 10 years of clinical experience. TRUE PRESSURE is a legally registered business, and safety, hygiene, and professionalism are guaranteed.
How do I book a session?

Click the BOOK button and fill out the reservation form with your accommodation details. We’ll contact you to confirm your appointment and arrival time.
What should I prepare before the session?

Nothing special is required. We will bring clean linens, oils, and the cushion and towel shown in the photo.
The treatment will be performed on your bed at home or in your hotel, so we recommend receiving it in comfortable clothing.
Is the massage painful?

We apply deep but controlled pressure, customized to your comfort level. Clients often describe it as “intense but relieving.” You’re always welcome to request lighter pressure.
What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations may incur a fee.
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa / Mastercard / AMEX / JCB), e-money, and QR code payments (PayPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, etc.). Once your booking is confirmed, you can also make your payment online in advance.
